By using scientific investigation skills, students will become aware and understand the many responsibilities of a first-grader.
The learners will collect information on first grade responsibilities by interviewing their peers and entering the data on a chart.
The teacher will give the students the provided “Responsibilities of a First-Grader Data Collection Chart.” (click to download)
The
students will interview three to four members of their first grade classroom and ask them two questions:
Make the data sheets into a class bulletin board to help students remember their first grade responsibilities.
ASCA: Grade 1 A:A2.2 Demonstrate how effort and persistence positively affect learning.
