We Are Kind Kids!
The learners will greet each other in a kind way.
- Gather children in a circle. Be sure to include Odakotah.
- Explain to children that we are going to celebrate our growth in kindness toward people, animals, and the environment.
- Have each child introduce themselves and tell what they will continue to do to be more kind.
- As children share their ideas, write one word down to describe the action of their goal on slips of paper (Share, Be a
Friend, Smile, etc.). Tape the paper to their space (at their desk or table) and remind them of their word, periodically.
Use the following format:
Mark: “Hello, my name is Mark and to be kind, I’m going to share my supplies.”
All: “You are a KIND KID, Mark!”
